Birth ratio in Taiwan is 100 girls against 110 boys in 2002.
Compared with that in Europe, the States and Japan, the number of infant boys is higher than that of infant girls in Asian countries. It is higher than the normal biological value of 105-106. This is an indication that infant girls are aborted in Asian countries and Taiwan is of no exception.
Remark: The sex ratio of newborn babies is the number of boys corresponding to each one hundred girls.
